A developer account is the first step to becoming a fully accredited developer with access to the Buddy Platform APIs. Upon approval of your application, you'll be granted full access to our extensive online API documentation, sample code and getting started guides.
To assist developers in adding Buddy Platform functionality to your applications and games, Buddy.com has an extensive collection of documentation, sample code and getting started guides.
These materials are provided on a complimentary basis, in addition to community support mechanisms such as our online forums and social media interaction.
Signup for a developer account once your developer account is created, verified and approved, you will be able to log into the developer portal to generate API keys and track the volume of traffic your applications are driving.
All applications that intend to call the Buddy Platform API set must have unique API keys, and there is no limit to the number of API keys a given developer account can create. Traffic is measured both on a per API key and a per developer account basis.
With your API keys created, you may now integrate Buddy Platform functionality into your applications or games. Per the terms and conditions of the service, you may choose to implement all or only some of the Platform functionality.
Please note that while the Buddy team will not require a review of your application before it is launched, we do actively monitor applications & games which use the Buddy Platform for breaches of our terms & conditions. Your dynamic developer portal will provide custom data on the Platform API usage your developer account is generating, both on a per-application basis and across your entire account.
